A new two-tone printed model of the seamless five-quarter sleeve tee, based on vintage baseball tees and carefully knitted on a 1950s-era vintage knitting machine.
By combining 16-count open-end yarn and 16-count slub yarn, and allowing for a subtle amount of space between the threads, we created an original fabric with a rich texture and unique fullness.
In addition, we incorporated robust binders for the neckline and hem, and top-and-bottom stitching for the cuffs, condensing heritage details throughout.
From the material to the sewing specifications, no compromises were made, resulting in a piece that elevates the vintage aesthetic to a modern level.
The design is inspired by a fictional local softball team that existed in Hewitt, Wisconsin in the 1950s, and is produced using discharge printing.
