Following on from last season's popular design of the Edo ukiyo-e print sukajan, this season's collection is based on a theme that thoroughly focuses on "luck in games."
The main visuals are inspired by the king of insects, the rhinoceros beetle, the dragonfly known as the winning insect, the iris flower which represents victory, and the helmet worn by a certain Major Leaguer during a performance when he hit a home run.
This ribbed knit has a color scheme and texture reminiscent of vintage 1950s clothing, created by some of Japan's most skilled artisans.
The playful combination of colors and the monochrome that exudes a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere are used to recreate the variations of the time.
The reverse side is luxuriously lined with cotton velvet, and Lucky Fellow's "Lucky" is embroidered in chain stitch on the left chest.
The sleeves feature a hawk pattern - first Fuji, second a hawk, and third eggplant - to pray for a wonderful first dream.
