The historic N-1 deck jacket, worn by US Navy soldiers in the 1940s and 1950s, is back for the first time in five years.
This season, the jacket is inspired by the civilian deck jacket worn by workers at the PORTS MOUTH NAVAL SHIP YARD, which has a long history in the U.S. Navy.
As a civilian model, it is expressed in Fellowes' unique world view, using fabrics and specifications not found in the original.
The outer material is made of sulfur dyed back satin fabric.
Because it is dyed more firmly than denim and other fabrics, you can enjoy the gradual changes that occur over time.
The lining is made of a boa material blended with baby alpaca, and the lining of the sleeves is made of polyester quilting.
By using the light and soft wool unique to baby alpaca, we have been able to reduce the weight when worn while maintaining its high heat retention, and improve comfort.
The prints on both sides of the chest are designed to evoke the name of the unit the wearer belonged to and his own name, and the left sleeve features a special print that evokes the process of when the patch of the wearer's previous affiliation was removed and the name bar of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (Portsmouth Naval Shipyard) was sewn on instead.
